We’re on the lookout for an inspiring and driven Head of Engineering to take the helm of our Technical Services department. What You'll Be Doing Translate strategic goals into effective departmental plans to ensure seamless operational delivery. Lead the department through peak seasons, planned maintenance, and strategic upgrades. Champion our core values while nurturing a high-performing team culture. Drive health & safety compliance to world-class standards, promoting a proactive safety mindset. Oversee budgets, resource planning, procurement, and technical project delivery. Implement and optimise digital maintenance systems and reporting processes. Engage with external stakeholders including regulators, suppliers and contractors. What We're Looking For Essential: Accredited Level 3 qualification (NVQ or equivalent) in Engineering or completion of a licensed apprenticeship. Proven experience in engineering leadership, ideally in the amusement or theme park sector. Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems. Solid grasp of H&S regulations and preventative maintenance systems. Effective communicator with excellent team leadership and people development skills. Proficient in MS Office, digital maintenance systems, and data reporting. Desirable: HNC/HND or degree in an engineering discipline. IOSH Managing Safely and/or professional registration (IEng). Experience with amusement ride standards (e.g., HSG175) and leisure industry associations (e.g., BALPPA, IAAPA). Leadership through change and delivering large-scale engineering projects.
