Planning Associate – Infrastructure/ Energy/ Environmental

An opportunity has arisen for a Planning Associate to join a highly regarded top law firm with a strong reputation across the Energy, Infrastructure and Real Estate sectors. Based in the Bristol office, this role offers the chance to work on complex planning matters and nationally significant infrastructure projects, particularly within across the environmental and energy space advising developers, promoters and investors
The Role
* Advising on major infrastructure and development projects
* Leading legal input on environmental planning matters and advising on environmental considerations within major projects
* Supporting complex projects from early planning strategy through to consent, development and delivery
* Advising on habitat regulations and applications
* Working across a range of consenting regimes
* Acting for developers, promoters and infrastructure clients on complex planning matters across the UK
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified lawyer with 3 + years’ post-admission experience gained within a planning team
* Experience working on major infrastructure projects, ideally with exposure to environmental planning
* Sector experience in transport (particularly rail and light rail) and/or energy (renewables and energy transmission) would be advantageous
