We are seeking a Building Estimator based in Lympne, Kent.
The role includes:
* Analyzing tender documents and client requirements.
* Preparing accurate BOQ for pricing, based on CESSM 3, Highways Method of Measurement, or SMM7.
* Costing traditional and design-build contracts.
* Preparing material and sub-contractor enquiry documents.
* Conducting site visits and incorporating findings into tender pricing.
* Assessing and updating rates and prices with quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
* Producing competitive commercial submissions for review and approval.
* Understanding NEC3 and JCT contracts, HSQE legislation, and construction methods.
* Participating in pre and post tender meetings.
* Knowledge of building materials and plant requirements.
Candidate requirements:
* At least 3 years of estimating experience.
* Experience with commercial or industrial projects.
* Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Analytical and reasoning skills.
* Organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Numerical proficiency.
* Confidence and resourcefulness.
* Ability to work independently and in a team.
* Commitment to collaborative working to ensure quality submissions.
