With a well-established, people‑focused accountancy practice with offices across Central and Southern England. Due to ongoing growth, they’re now looking to appoint an Accounts Manager to join their Winchester office.

Your new role
You’ll take ownership of a varied client portfolio, delivering high‑quality accounts and tax work while playing a key role in supporting and developing the wider team. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing a diverse portfolio spanning corporate entities, LLPs and partnerships
2. Acting as a trusted point of contact for day‑to‑day client queries
3. Working with clients across multiple sectors, including rural and agricultural (a key area of specialism)
4. Preparing statutory accounts, corporation tax and business taxputations
5. Overseeing some bookkeeping and VAT work where required
6. Building strong, long‑term client relationships
7. Using a range of modern accounting software including Iris, Silverfin, Caseware, Sage and Xero
8. Managing workflow and ensuring timelypletion of assignments
9. Supervising, training and supporting junior team members
10. Collaborating with colleagues across the wider group
What you'll need to succeed
You’ll bring a blend of technical strength, people skills andmercial awareness. We’re looking for someone who is:
11. Fully qualified (ACA or ACCA)
12. Experienced in UK practice (minimum 3 years post‑qualified)
13. Confident managing a varied portfolio and leading client relationships
14. Skilled in UK GAAP and accounts preparation
15. Experienced with agricultural/rural clients (highly desirable)
16. A strongmunicator with a professional, positive approach
17. Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
18. Proficient in Excel and quick to pick up new systems
19. A supportive team leader who enjoys developing others
