Job Description
We are hiring a Chef Manager at Walton Hall Academy, Eccleshall, who is dedicated to providing nutritionally balanced and tasty food for future generations. This role is term-time only and involves no weekend work, offering great flexibility.
This position involves working in a wonderful Special Education Needs school with an outstanding client and pupils.
You will work with a catering assistant to provide food for approximately 80-120 pupils daily.
The role includes:
* £14.50 per hour
* 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
* Term-time only – approximately 38.6 weeks per year
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, cook, and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
* Ensure compliance with statutory and company requirements related to Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental legislation
* Enhance the company's reputation for excellent food and service with clients and customers, consistently exceeding expectations
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the location, supervise teams, manage inventories, monitor budgets, and implement action plans
* Serve as the main point of contact for the school client, recommending and implementing improvements
* Communicate regularly with line managers to monitor KPIs and financial targets
* Support and train team members, lead by example, and ensure all training and performance management are completed effectively

Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in fresh food catering, with supervisory or management experience.
