We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Finance – Reporting to lead our Group Reporting and Financial Reporting teams, while providing finance expertise to support transactions. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with proven experience managing large teams across complex, multi-entity structures. You will bring curiosity, enthusiasm, motivation, and strong attention to detail, while also aligning senior stakeholders in implementing change and driving cashflow efficiency across a c£2bn platform of 59 entities in 9 jurisdictions. This role demands an ability to thrive under tight and moving deadlines, balancing multiple priorities. You will interpret technical information flows, manage external parties, and support the Head of Debt Capital Markets in optimising financial terms. Strong communication and storyboarding skills are essential to distil complex data into actionable insights, shaping strategy on cash generation, valuation, and exit readiness, while building trust with investors through high-quality, timely reporting. Role Contribution This role is critical in delivering edyn’s goal of becoming Europe’s leading lifestyle hospitality operator. • Improve reporting efficiency – Deliver multi-jurisdiction bookkeeping, statutory and stakeholder reporting efficiently and repeatably, building confidence with stakeholders and holding advisors to the highest standards. • Enterprise valuations – Partner with business teams and shareholders to assess market trends and maximise company value. • Closing the funding gap – Strengthen cashflow management and optimise debt through refinancing, with selective asset sales at opportune times. • Due diligence – Support acquisitions, refinancing and exit readiness. Coordinate due diligence, mitigate financial risks, and advise on pricing or risk exposure. • Risk management – Identify and mitigate risks impacting operations, reputation, or stability, supporting growth and preparing for exit. Based at Bristol or London offices, with travel to clients and edyn properties. Hybrid working applies, with three days a week expected onsite. This is a leadership role with strong visibility across the business. Key Responsibilities 1. Group Reporting • Deliver quarterly shareholder reporting with no material errors. • Collaborate with Brookfield on valuations, providing market and portfolio insights. • Lead IFRS, cashflow and valuation planning cycles and upskilling across Finance. • Support exit readiness through scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and benchmarking valuations. • Ensure adherence to IFRS and Brookfield accounting policies. • Own the Record-to-Report control framework. • Support optimisation of the entity structure to minimise complexity and costs. 2. Financial Reporting • Deliver timely and accurate month-end reporting. • Maintain local books and statutory records, optimising use of third-party providers. • Manage service provider and auditor relationships with clear performance standards. • Oversee reconciliations to the central ERP system (ETB process). • Deliver statutory audits to deadline with minimal adjustments. • Partner with Tax to optimise reporting and ensure jurisdictional compliance (e.g. e-invoicing). • Manage intercompany structures and compliance with Brookfield protocols. • Oversee transition to SOX compliance. • Manage corporate service provider budgets and retenders. • Review professional and below-EBITDA costs, providing variance analysis and optimisation routes. 3. Debt Reporting and Compliance • Optimise debt reporting to ensure accuracy with minimal effort. • Collaborate with Head of Debt Capital Markets to deliver lender plans and relationships. • Ensure compliance with lender waterfall mechanisms and IPD payments. • Oversee debt reforecasts and relevant internal reporting. 4. Debt, Cash Management & Treasury • Oversee and optimise group cashflow, ensuring appropriate funding. • Reforecast monthly to align with business needs. • Manage shareholder funding requests. • Support optimisation of debt structures and hedging positions. • Drive technology improvements in treasury, cash, and debt management. 5. Transactions • Partner with Debt Capital Markets, Tax, and Legal on acquisitions, disposals, and refinancings. • Perform financial due diligence. • Review transaction documentation, negotiating finance-related terms. • Build fund flows to align stakeholders. • Manage external advisors, optimising quality and fees. 6. Risk & Compliance • Embed process maturity frameworks to improve decentralised risk management. • Mitigate critical risks through alignment with company secretary, audit, and publication processes. • Ensure compliance with authority procedures for POs, bank payments, and intragroup funding. 7. Leadership & Team Development • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team (towards 75 target). • Be an active Finance Leadership Team member, owning reporting, treasury, and risk strategies. • Build strong relationships across the organisation. • Champion edyn’s culture, supporting transformation initiatives. • Maintain trusted investor relationships. Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics (preferred). Chartered Accountant / Management Accountant (or equivalent) with first-time passes. Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS and local GAAPs). Experience across multiple jurisdictions and currencies. 10 years PQE, with significant exposure to acquisitions and debt. Proven leadership of large finance teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, translating data into insights. Excellent communication and influencing skills. Proficiency in ERP systems, consolidated reporting, and advanced Excel. Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and lead change. Deep knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and controls. Minimum 5 years’ real estate experience, ideally hospitality.
