Small but well established Garage with a well equipped workshop are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join our friendly and well established team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing a wide variety of vehicles, maintaining the high standard of workmanship our customers have come to rely on. Please note: this position is only open to applicants with a minimum of five years experience within a garage environment. Duties Conduct vehicle diagnostics, use schematics and mechanical knowledge to accurately identify issues. Perform repairs and servicing on a range of vehicles including Cars, vans and motorhomes. Repair or replace faulty parts, ensuring all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Maintain detailed and accurate job card records of all work completed and parts used. If necessary, provide excellent customer service by clearly explaining the repair process and answering any customer queries professionally. Keep the workshop clean, organised, and compliant with all health and safety regulations. Experience & Skills Required A minimum of five years proven experience in automotive repair or a closely related field (essential). Strong knowledge of Diagnostic Scanners, wiring schematics, mechanical systems, and vehicle assembly processes is an advantage. Proficiency with maintenance procedures and technical knowhow is a must. Knowledge of electrical systems and repair techniques is highly desirable (but not essential). Ability to interpret technical manuals and carry out effective troubleshooting. Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly. Physical fitness suitable for heavy lifting and working in varied workshop conditions.
