Responsibilities
* Working alongside the Store Manager, you’ll inspire, manage and develop a small store team, driving sales and profitability while delivering outstanding customer service.
* Ensure the store works like clockwork and is beautifully presented; help team members become product experts and give them the confidence to make the most of sales opportunities and build strong relationships with our retail and trade customers.
* Coach, train and share your knowledge to help the team improve, and look for exciting new ways to improve the store and the customer experience.
* Inspire customers with interior design ideas and use leading-edge technology to help bring projects to life.
* Be prepared for varied duties: from creative tasks to assisting with traders, and handling deliveries (lifting tiles and putting away stock).
* No two days are the same; one minute you could be getting creative, the next helping with traders.
* Lifting tiles is part of the job and you’ll be putting away deliveries.
Qualifications / Who you are
* You’ve worked in retail, led teams and can show where you’ve exceeded sales and profit targets; you know the ingredients that make magical customer experiences and you can get the best out of your team.
* As Deputy Manager, you’re can-do, will-do, someone who rolls up their sleeves while leading by example; you coach, support and share knowledge to help your team succeed.
* You’re commercially switched-on with business acumen to keep ahead of the competition and set your store apart.
