The Ellison Institute of Technology (EIT) purpose is to have a global impact by fundamentally reimagining the way science and technology translate into end-to-end solutions and delivering these solutions in programmes and platforms that respond to humanity’s most challenging problems.

Led by a world-class faculty of scientists, technologists, policy makers, economists and entrepreneurs, the Ellison Institute of Technology aims to develop and deploy commercially sustainable solutions to solve some of humanity’s most enduring challenges. Our work is guided by four Humane Endeavours: Health, Medical Science & Generative Biology, Food Security & Sustainable Agriculture, Climate Change & Managing Atmospheric CO2 and Artificial Intelligence & Robotics.

Set for completion in 2027, the EIT Campus in Littlemore will include more than 300,000 sq ft of research laboratories, educational and gathering spaces. Fuelled by growing ambition and the strength of Oxford’s science ecosystem, EIT is now expanding its footprint to a 2 million sq ft Campus across the western part of The Oxford Science Park. Designed by Foster + Partners led by Lord Norman Foster, this will become a transformative workplace for up to 7,000 people, with autonomous laboratories, purpose-built laboratories including a plant sciences building and dynamic spaces to spark interdisciplinary collaboration.

EIT is seeking an experienced and proactive Technical Delivery Lead who will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of complex, enterprise-grade technology solutions across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments. This includes delivery leadership across Oracle Fusion Cloud applications, enterprise integrations, data platforms, and other business-critical systems.

The role ensures that technical solutions are designed, built, tested, and deployed efficiently, meeting performance, security, and compliance requirements. The Technical Delivery Lead acts as the central coordination point across architecture, development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure seamless delivery across multiple platforms and technologies.



Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the end-to-end delivery of enterprise technology initiatives across Oracle Fusion Cloud, SaaS applications, integrations, and infrastructure.
* Manage technical planning, execution, and delivery timelines for multiple concurrent projects.
* Align business requirements with technical architecture and delivery outcomes across ERP, HCM, CRM, and data platforms.
* Coordinate internal, vendor, and offshore delivery teams to meet project goals.
* Collaborate with architects to validate solution designs across Oracle, Microsoft, AWS, SAP, Salesforce, etc.
* Oversee integration design and implementation using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), APIs, middleware, and data platforms.
* Define and enforce delivery frameworks, code quality standards, and documentation.
* Ensure compliance with IT governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory policies.
* Support CI/CD and DevOps practices, promoting automation and infrastructure-as-code.
* Serve as the technical point of contact for business leaders, project managers, and vendors.
* Lead and mentor cross-functional technical teams.
* Communicate progress, risks, and challenges clearly to stakeholders.

Requirements

Essential Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
* 10+ years’ experience delivering enterprise technology solutions, with 5+ years in a technical delivery or leadership role.
* Proven experience managing complex multi-system environments including Oracle Fusion Cloud (ERP/HCM/SCM) and other platforms (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, Workday).
* Strong understanding of cloud technologies (OCI, Azure, AWS) and their integration with enterprise systems.
* Expertise in integration technologies (OIC, API Gateway, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Azure Integration Services).
* Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code tools.
* Solid grasp of security, compliance, and data governance in enterprise IT.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

* Certifications in Oracle Cloud, Azure, or AWS architecture.
* Exposure to data analytics platforms (Snowflake, Power BI, Oracle Analytics Cloud).
* Experience delivering in Agile or hybrid project environments.
* Understanding of ITIL frameworks and service delivery practices.
* Experience managing vendor-led or multi-sourced technical delivery programs

Terms of Appointment:

You must have the right to work permanently in the UK with a willingness to travel as necessary.

You will live in, or within easy commuting distance of, Oxford and can commit to being on site for at least 3 days per working week, sometimes more during busier periods where it is required.

During peak periods, some longer hours may be required and some working across multiple time zones due to the global nature of the programme.
