EQUANS is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to work on our Peel Group contract in Salford. This is a permanent, full-time position, working 40 hours per week. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
Overview:
We have an opening for a Mechanical Engineer to join the team at The Vic building on Salford Quays, focusing on the Peel Portfolio.
Essential skills include sound mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems and experience with Commercial Hot and Cold-water Systems.
An approved apprenticeship in Plumbing/Mechanical skills or relevant practical experience in a similar industry is required.
Must have a good understanding of risk assessment and safe working practices with equipment.
Responsibilities include completing statutory and non-statutory maintenance as per schedules and SLAs, reactive works, and adhering to health & safety standards, including ISO 14.
Ability to interpret plans, technical diagrams, and communicate technical information effectively is essential.
Impact:
The role involves maintaining high standards of building maintenance for various FM companies. The successful candidate will work independently or as part of a team, producing detailed reports and estimates for quotations. Appearance and communication skills are important as this role represents EQUANS on-site.
Complexity:
The role requires demonstrating relevant qualifications, a minimum of 5 years in the FM industry, and the ability to perform maintenance, reactive calls, plumbing, and mechanical tasks. Comfort with CAFM handheld devices is also needed.
