NUVIA UK's Technical Services department is recruiting experienced Senior/Principal EC&I Engineers for an embedded opportunity supporting a leading client within the nuclear industry. We offer both contract and permanent positions.
Location: Based at the client's Warrington office, Birchwood Park. Travel to Sellafield, Cumbria, is required for plant familiarisation visits and walk downs.
Note: Ability to obtain BPSS level security clearance is essential.
Project Description:
The Plant Facing Design Office (PFDO) handles urgent plant issues, supports System Engineering with design solutions, and manages emergent maintenance with design content.
Principal Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Lead a team of CE&I Engineers/Designers to deliver design solutions responding to system engineering problem definitions.
* Contribute to equipment obsolescence issues, specify replacements, support design substantiation, and develop modifications for plant improvements at Sellafield facilities.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
* Chartered Engineer with MEng/BEng in C,E&I engineering or HND Electrical/Electronic Engineering with relevant experience.
* Experience leading CE&I engineering teams and managing design packages.
* Proven ability to deliver fit-for-purpose engineering designs across all project stages.
* Knowledge of CDM regulations, Supply of Machinery Regulations, and safety case requirements.
* Experience in designing process instrumentation, control systems, electrical power, and lighting.
* Proficiency in producing CE&I installation design packages, datasheets, and performing calculations.
* Ability to work with supply chain partners and manage external design packages.
* Willingness and ability to travel to Sellafield for meetings and site surveys.
* Familiarity with AutoCAD and systems like Cimage, icePAC, CAESAR, AVEVA, CONCISE.
