Join us as a Remuneration Governance Lead
If you're ready for a unique opportunity to elevate your career, join us in this role where you'll work with senior stakeholders to support the delivery of the Group's strategy. We will look to you to lead the management and provision of strategic governance advice across the end-to-end remuneration governance framework, acting as a trusted advisor across the Group on all remuneration governance matters. This high-profile role will see you acting as the Secretary to the Group & NWH Performance and Remuneration Committees, providing a unique insight into dynamic decision making at the highest level. This role is offered for a period of 12 months.
What you'll do
You'll provide remuneration governance advice and support to a number of senior Board and Executive Committees, including the Performance & Remuneration Control Function Committee.
 * Provide direct support to the Chair of the Group Performance and Remuneration Committee in their annual engagement with stakeholders on remuneration issues, driving effective and proactive management of relationships with the Colleague Advisory Panel, institutional shareholders, proxy agencies and regulators
 * Manage wider remuneration related stakeholder engagement and updates to members of the Group Board, as required
 * Identify opportunities to innovate and streamline governance matters within your remit
 * Lead a small team of remuneration governance professionals
The skills you'll need
We're looking for an experienced company secretary or lawyer to join us in this role, or someone who can bring extensive expertise and a detailed understanding of corporate governance and/or remuneration matters in a listed company or financial services context.
 * Professionalism and a track record in influencing, interacting and communicating with people at all levels across the organisation including executives
 * Knowledge of the secretarial, legal and regulatory environment (including the Senior Managers & Certification Regime) pertaining to large, complex financial services organisations
 * Excellent presentation skills and proven ability to produce comprehensive and clearly structured minutes and briefings
 * The ability to manage highly confidential information in a discreet and professional manner
 * The ability to challenge others and assert your views appropriately
 * A proven ability to maintain high quality standards and attention to detail
