Position: Pipeline Engineer – Energy & Infrastructure
Location: Aberdeen

We’re seeking an Onshore Pipeline Engineer to join a global engineering organisation with newly awarded UK projects. The role spans both conventional oil & gas and the energy transition sector (hydrogen, CO₂/CCUS, ammonia). With structured development and mentoring, this is a clear pathway to progress towards Principal Engineer level while contributing to sustainable energy projects.

Key responsibilities
* Perform and review pipeline design calculations.
* Develop routes including crossings, reports, and alignment drawings.
* Prepare technical deliverables such as design reports, specifications, and philosophies.
* Support survey and procurement activities (MTOs, specifications, data sheets).
What you’ll bring
* Engineering degree (or equivalent); Chartered or progressing towards it preferred.
* 2–5+ years of onshore pipeline design/engineering experience.
* Knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
* Awareness of construction methods such as HDD, trenching, Direct Pipe, or auger boring.
* Strong communication skills with proficiency in MS Office and Mathcad.
Desirable
* Experience with ASME B31.12 or CO₂ pipeline design.
