External Account Manager – Hungerford


Drive Growth | Build Client Relationships | Lead Conversations in Tech


We’re looking for an ambitious External Account Manager to join our team in Hungerford. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a broad customer base, grow key relationships, and drive sales performance within a global technology group.


If you’re a natural communicator who enjoys meeting clients, uncovering opportunities, and delivering outstanding service — this role is for you.


What You’ll Do


* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors to drive growth.
* Work proactively with key stakeholders across your customer estate.
* Introduce new manufacturers, products, and technologies to support client expansion.
* Profile and qualify new business opportunities using market insights and historical data.
* Collaborate with internal teams including Commercial, Customer Service, and Credit Control.
* Manage pre‑ and post‑sales activities, from quotes to order processing.
* Represent the business at customer visits and support BDM/Sales Manager activities.


What You Bring


* 12 months experience in Account Management or B2B in the IT channel sector.
* Confident telephone manner and strong communication skills.
* Excellent listening, questioning, negotiation, and time‑management abilities.
* Resilience, motivation, and a strong work ethic.
* Ability to self‑motivate and thrive in a dynamic, customer-driven environment.
* Must have a UK driving license.
