We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school community in Bromley. This is a full-time role supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them access learning, develop confidence, and reach their full potential in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND.
* Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities.
* Support pupils with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social/emotional needs.
* Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
* Help create an inclusive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment.
* Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and other professionals to implement individual support plans (EHCPs where applicable).
* Monitor and record pupil progress and wellbeing.
Requirements
* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND (school or similar setting preferred).
* A patient, empathetic, and positive approach.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to build trusting relationships with pupils.
* A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
* Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEND support are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
