Occupational Therapist – North West Locality
Salary: £40,501 - £47,639 | Hours: 36 per week
We are looking for Full Time Occupational Therapists to join the North West Community Occupational Therapy team.
Overview
Are you an enthusiastic and motivated occupational therapist skilled in assessment and Care Management? Do you enjoy supporting people in the community and helping them find solutions to living safely and independently at home? Then we think you could join our small, but supportive team in the North West Locality.
Responsibilities
* Undertake assessments and engage in good conversations with people living in the community.
* Work alongside Social Workers, Community Care Assistants and Health Professionals to promote a multi-disciplinary approach to living well at home.
* Promote and facilitate good manual handling practice, including risk assessment and providing care plans.
* Assess for, prescribe and review the provision of equipment, minor and major adaptations and supportive services in accordance with good practice and Council policies.
Qualifications
Candidates must have a degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy recognised by the Health and Care Professions Council and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
Regulatory Requirements
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
