As a Food Technology Teaching Assistant, you will become part of a team that empowers students to become confident learners and valuable future leaders within the local community.
Role Responsibilities
5. Support the Food Technology teacher with lesson preparation, demonstrations, and practical sessions.
6. Supervise and assist students during practical cooking tasks.
7. Prepare ingredients, equipment, and classroom resources.
8. Promote safe working practices and maintain a clean, organised learning environment.
9. Provide targeted support to individual learners or small groups to help them progress.
10. Encourage a love for food, nutrition, and practical skills.
What We’re Looking For
11. Experience working with young people or within a secondary school setting.
12. A passion for Food Technology, nutrition, or practical learning environments.
13. A positive, proactive, and supportive attitude.
14. Strong communication and organisational skills.
15. An understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice (training provided if needed).
