Job Title: Support Worker - Ofsted Supported Accommodation (Care Leavers & Unaccompanied Asylum Seekers)
Location: Reading
Salary: £26,666 - £32,916 per year (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role
We are looking for dedicated Support Workers to join our team providing Ofsted-regulated supported accommodation for care leavers and unaccompanied asylum seekers aged 16+. This is a rewarding role where you will help young people build resilience, develop life skills, and achieve their goals in a safe, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day support, promoting independence and life skills
* Develop and review personalised support plans and risk assessments
* Support young people with education, employment, training, and community integration
* Uphold safeguarding standards and promote wellbeing
* Encourage positive routines, boundaries, and healthy relationships
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports for social workers and local authorities
* Collaborate with colleagues, social services, and partner agencies
What We're Looking For
* Experience supporting children, young people, or vulnerable groups (care leavers or semi-independent settings preferred but not essential)
* Genuine passion for helping young people achieve independence
* Understanding of safeguarding, boundaries, and professional practice
* Strong communication, empathy, and resilience
* Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and rota work
* Relevant qualifications (Level 3 in Health & Social Care or Children & Young People) desirable; training can be supported
