Area Sales Manager – Technical Insulation Products (UK)
Location: Sheffield base with UK travel
Package: Up to ~£47,000 salary + company car + bonus + benefits

About the Role
An established UK manufacturer in the technical insulation space is looking for an ambitious, presentable Area Sales Manager to take ownership of UK sales for one of its specialist product divisions.
This is a role for someone who enjoys autonomy. You’ll be the dedicated salesperson for a high-performing fabrication division that supplies specialist insulation products into construction, manufacturing and leisure vehicle markets. The company has long-standing relationships, a strong brand and a loyal client base which is growing but requires nurturing attention. You’ll be supported by an experienced UK Sales Manager who will give you full technical onboarding, client introductions and ongoing guidance.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Manage and grow UK sales for a specialist insulation product line
* Re‑engage and service existing accounts that haven’t been visited recently
* Build new business in a measured, consultative way
* Present confidently to business owners, purchasing directors and technical stakeholders
* Understand and explain manufacturing processes such as CNC‑cut insulation components
* Plan your own diary and travel; occasional overnight stays where required
* Work closely with internal sales and operations across two local manufacturing sites

* Able to work autonomously, plan travel and manage your week
* Down‑to‑earth personality with the right balance of confidence and humility
Preferred Experience
* Technical sales exposure (hazardous waste, insulation, construction products, materials, engineered components)
* Understanding of manufacturing environments (CNC, fabrication, specialist products)
* Experience selling to contractors, OEMs, or end‑users within construction or industrial markets
