What does this role entail?
During the festive period, Goughs Cave is transformed into a magical wonderland, complete with a dedicated outpost for Santa and his Elves. Within this enchanted cave, you will find the diligent elves sorting letters, crafting toys, and inspecting Santa’s sleigh, and our guests have the extraordinary opportunity to meet Santa in person.
Reporting to the Assistant Operations Manager, your role as Santa will see you creating cherished memories for our guests. You will be warmly welcoming and greeting our guests on their visit to your grotto, where you will be sharing enchanting stories and handing each guest their special gift.
Key duties will include:
1. Engage with all guests throughout the duration of their time with Santa.
2. Effectively ad-lib and respond to individual guest’s questions and comments.
3. Maintain a tight time schedule throughout each guests visit to Santa.
4. Hand out a present to every child.
5. Supporting the Grotto team to help preparing the presents for daily operation.
About you
6. You will have previous experience in a customer facing role and will be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
7. Excellent time-keeping will be on of your strengths, to help keep Santa’s visits on schedule.
8. Your outgoing and bubbly personality will ensure you engage our guests with enthusiasm.

Your contract
This is a fixed term contract ending 24th December 2025, with working hours to vary over a 7 day rota basis, including weekends, evening and bank holidays as required. The earliest start time is 8am, and the latest finish time is 8pm, varying in accordance with opening times.
