Virtual Reality Technician – Coventry College – 37 hours per week, 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday‑Thursday and 8:30am to 4:30pm Friday, with an unpaid lunch break. Full‑time, permanent, all year round. Salary £23,736 – £24,211 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience).
About the Role
Working with the Quality Manager, Digital Learning and Resources, the Virtual Reality Technician manages and maintains VR equipment and related resources. Responsibilities include ensuring safe and effective use of VR technology, supporting staff and students in using VR equipment, accessing learning activities and managing the VR room timetable to guarantee fair and equitable access across curriculum areas. The technician may also collaborate with the wider Quality Team to provide training support for curriculum staff on VR use.
Requirements
* Relevant qualification in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Strong understanding of health and safety protocols.
* Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.
* Certification in first aid and/or health and safety (desirable).
* Organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and schedules.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to train and support users effectively.
