Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain a high standard of patient care and confidentiality within all dental clinics throughout the service.
* Prepare and monitor patients for and during their dental treatment, providing pre‑ and post‑operative instructions as required.
* Undertake the general care of the surgery including dental equipment/instruments (medical devices) and arrange any necessary repairs as required.
* Ensure medical emergency drugs and equipment are available and up to date.
* Provide chair‑side assistance and postoperative instructions during general anaesthetic and exodontia sessions as required.
* Provide oral health education to patients as required by the clinician.
* Assist the Senior Dental Nurse in the smooth running of the Dental service.
* Support and assist clinicians including all student disciplines.
* Support and supervise all apprentice nurses, undergraduate groups.

Band 4 clinical roles are eligible for UK Home Office visa sponsorship. All non‑clinical roles that meet the prescribed skill level (RQF 6) and salary threshold will be eligible for sponsorship. Position Available:
0.8 WTE (30 hrs p/w) Band 4 Dental Nurse – 12 month fixed‑term maternity cover. Hours Monday – Saturday (8am – 8pm) with flexible days to meet service need. Based at Birmingham Dental Hospital. The post holder will support evening and weekend clinical activity on a rota basis. Part‑time applications are invited.
