Responsibilities and role
King Edward VI School Lichfield is seeking an enthusiastic and talented ICT and Computer Science teacher to join a proactive, ambitious and collaborative Department. All students follow a comprehensive Key Stage 3 programme for an hour each per week with many students choosing to continue to Key Stage 4 through either GCSE Computer Science or GCSE Media Studies. We also offer optional additional Microsoft Office Specialist qualifications in Year 10. This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious and collaborative department. The appointed teacher will also have the opportunity over time to teach post-16 courses through OCR Cambridge Technical qualifications or other related courses. The post is suitable for a current classroom teacher or for an Early Career Teacher.
With 33% of students achieving a grade 7 or higher in Computer Science in 2025, and 100% achieving grades 9-4, you will be joining a successful and collaborative Department. In addition, the Department deliver GCSE Media Studies and the Cambridge Advanced National in Computing: Application Development – Level 3 Extended Certificate.
