Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our inclusive and supportive school community in Bromley. This is a permanent, full-time position commencing in January 2026.
This role provides an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of pupils with special educational needs. You will have the opportunity to work with pupils across a range of needs, including ASD, SEMH, and complex learning needs, supporting them to achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
The Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching to pupils with special educational needs. You will work closely with the SENCo, support staff, and wider school teams to plan, implement, and evaluate personalised learning programmes, ensuring each pupil receives the support and challenge they require to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with SEN
* Support pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, SEMH, and complex learning needs
* Create and maintain a structured, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
* Monitor pupil progress, assess needs, and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
* Contribute to the development and review of EHCP targets and annual reviews
* Collaborate with support staff, parents, and external professionals to enhance pupil outcomes
* Promote a culture of high expectations, resilience, and positive behaviour
* Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures
The Ideal Candidate
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Has proven experience teaching pupils with SEN, preferably in primary or secondary settings
* Demonstrates a strong understanding of inclusive practice and differentiation
* Calm, patient, and resilient, with excellent organisational and communication skills
* Passionate about supporting vulnerable learners and committed to their academic and social development
* Available to start full-time in January 2026
