TPF Recruitment are proud to partner with a leading top 20 firm in Milton Keynes who are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Audit Manager to join their audit practice.
This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality audit services to a diverse portfolio of clients across various sectors, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS standards.
As an Audit Manager, you will lead complex audit engagements, mentor junior team members and play a key role in maintaining the firm’s reputation for excellence, integrity, and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for managing audit planning, risk assessment, fieldwork execution and reporting, while fostering strong client relationships and driving continuous improvement in audit quality.
This position offers a competitive salary of £60,000 – £75,000, along with opportunities for career advancement and professional development within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage end-to-end audit engagements for mid-to-large-sized clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery in compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and professional standards.
2. Develop and implement audit strategies, risk assessments and materiality thresholds tailored to client-specific environments and industry dynamics.
3. Supervise and mentor junior audit staff, providing guidance on technical accounting, audit procedures and professional development.
4. Coordinate with senior management and external stakeholders, including regulators, tax advisors and client executives, to ensure seamless audit execution.
5. Prepare and review financial statements, audit reports, and management letters, ensuring clarity, accuracy and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
6. Identify and communicate key financial risks, internal control deficiencies, and business insights to clients and internal teams.
7. Contribute to business development initiatives, including client proposals, pitch presentations, and service innovation.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving accounting standards, regulatory changes and industry trends to ensure audit quality and relevance.
9. Support internal quality reviews, peer reviews, and firm-wide audit methodology improvements.
