An exciting opportunity has arisen for a tenacious, personable and experienced bar worker / manager to join our small and brilliant team at the Barley Mow
Be aware that this job involves long hours, hard work and interfacing with our (absolutely lovely) customer base. It won't be easy and it's certainy not a 9 to 5, but the rewards are definitely there for the right person
Since taking over a year ago, we're at a pivotal point in bringing the Barley Mow - a beautiful, 16th century thatched pub in an idyllic rural location on the outskirts of Wimborne - back to its former glory following years of mismanagement. We're on the right track and just need one more experienced front of house staff member who "gets it" to join our team and we'll be there Check out our reviews on Google and TripAdvisor if you're not sure.
Our core business consists of a strong weekday food-led trade with consistent demand for our traditional pub food offering, with a our busiest days being Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We're lucky enough to also have a busy "locals" bar area frequented by walkers, darts players and our wonderful crowd of regulars, in addition to a large restaurant area which caters to a broad range of diners seeking traditional pub food throughout the week but particulary so on Fridays and at weekends.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and hard working individual to join our small but busy team, and woud consider candidates from a wide range of backgrounds as long as they possess the correct attitude. Exceptional customer service is at the heart of everything we do, so a smile and "can-do" attitude is crucial above all else
