Fractional AI Security Lead / Architect
Fractional (1–2 days/week) - 3 month rolling contract

We’re hiring for a forward-thinking security leader to help shape and secure an AI-first organisation.
This is not a traditional CISO role. We’re looking for someone more hands-on, technical, and AI-native, a builder who can define and implement a modern AI security posture over the next 12–24 months.
What you’ll be doing
* Defining and implementing AI security strategy and guardrails across the business
* Securing adoption of LLMs, copilots, and AI tools across engineering and non-technical teams
* Designing data access controls and policies for AI systems
* Building strategies around prompt security, data leakage, and model risk
* Assessing and managing third-party AI vendor risk
* Establishing model governance, auditability, and best practices
* Supporting a shift towards an AI-first product and operating model
What we’re looking for
* Experience in AI security, AI architecture, or security engineering with an AI focus
* Hands-on experience working with LLMs, GenAI tools, and AI-enabled systems
* Proven ability to build and implement AI security frameworks (not just advise)
* Strong understanding of data security, access control, and risk in AI environments
* Pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset—comfortable operating in fast-moving environments
This role is not
* A traditional, governance-heavy CISO position
* Purely compliance-focused (ISO, SOC, etc.)
* Advisory-only — we need someone who can build and implement
