Sourcing Manager
Experienced Sourcing Manager to join a leading national retailer’s Commercial team at the central office in North London.
Responsibilities
* take full end‑to‑end ownership of the commercial and sourcing strategy for the COGS in own‑brand categories
* build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
* understand key cost drivers and continuously identify opportunities for improvement
* take full responsibility for negotiating cost‑price increases and ensuring timelines are communicated throughout the process
* work collaboratively with current suppliers to reduce COGS and expand range opportunities
* maintain outstanding levels of supplier service and resolve issues promptly in partnership with internal departments
* seeking new suppliers to deliver a stronger commercial offer or to supply new/alternate products and categories
* analyse sales figures to plan successful future lines with the own‑brand team
* work closely with new product development teams to maintain quality levels within products
* present reports, figures and trend information to the Senior Management team
Key Requirements
* proven buying, procurement or sourcing experience within a fast‑moving FMCG/food environment
* ability to influence and negotiate effectively
* ability to adapt swiftly in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing retail market
* excellent communication skills and ability to liaise effectively at all levels
* excellent understanding of all MS Office products
