We're currently recruiting an ambitious Chef to help us create exceptional food experiences for Defence on a part-time basis contracted to 16 hours per week. As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving food that brightens our clients' and customers' days, within the market-leading food service company in the UK. Here's an overview of your shift pattern:
* Mon: Weekends only
* Tues: Weekends only
* Weds: Weekends only
* Thurs: Weekends only
* Fri: Weekends only
* Sat: Weekends only
* Sun: Weekends only
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing high-quality, delicious food that delights clients and customers
* Overseeing and implementing menu changes
* Identifying opportunities to improve food services
* Acting on customer feedback to enhance service
* Supporting the creation of new menus and food concepts
* Representing Defence and maintaining a positive brand image
* Monitoring inventories to ensure well-stocked kitchens
* Maintaining hygiene standards through cleaning responsibilities
* Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene, and Health & Safety regulations
Qualifications and experience required:
* City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
* Experience supervising a team
* Experience in a similar Chef role
* Food Hygiene certificate
* Flexible approach to working
