Job Title: Teaching Assistant (Primary School)

Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Chester. This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils’ learning and development in a nurturing and inclusive environment. The role is initially until the Summer holidays, with the possibility of continuing into the new academic year in September.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons across the primary curriculum
* Work with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning and provide targeted support
* Assist in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
* Support pupils with additional needs, ensuring inclusive practice and equal access to learning
* Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials
* Supervise pupils during breaktimes, lunchtimes, and school activities where required
* Contribute to the assessment and tracking of pupil progress
* Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
Requirements
* Previous experience working in a primary school or with children (essential)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A patient, flexible and proactive approach
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and wellbeing
* Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential
