Collections Team Leader - About the Role
We're looking for someone to join as a Collections Team Leader for a 12 month contract. You’ll play a pivotal role in driving performance, developing talent, and delivering good outcomes for our customers. You'll lead a team of 7, comprising of both Credit Controllers and Credit Administrators, providing day-to-day support, coaching, and leadership to ensure targets are met and that the team are compliant with internal policies and procedures.
Lead with purpose: You'll lead by example and ensure the team are supported, and confident in delivering both good customer outcomes and service.
• Conduct quality assessments to maintain high standards, ensuring our brand values are consistently reflected in customer interactions.
• Identify gaps in processes or policies and bring forward your ideas to enhance both efficiency and customer experience.
• Keep arrears to a minimum while ensuring customers in financial difficulty are treated with empathy, fairness, and respect and that forbearance given, is tailored to the customers circumstances.
• Manage escalated queries and lead cross-departmental collaboration to resolve challenges quickly and effectively.
• Provide daily, weekly, and monthly performance reporting to senior leadership.

In this role, you'll be the anchor for your team, helping them stay focused, positive, and engaged as systems evolve, processes improve, and the wider business adapts. You’ll play a key part in communicating updates clearly, answering questions with empathy, and helping your team understand not just the “what,” but the “why” behind each change.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract, and we're looking for someone to start with us early August 2025.
