The Role
You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials through the supply chain. Responsible for timely and cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning, and quality control of production materials, you'll be at the forefront of optimising efficiency and effectiveness in the supply chain.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Facilitate weekly production planning by releasing production orders for each value stream, aligning with the production team during weekly meetings.
2. Monitor daily execution of production orders, addressing variances to ensure adherence to the production plan for each value stream.
3. Manage the material planning team on a day-to-day basis, conducting monthly meetings and regular one-on-ones, addressing training, development needs, and holiday requests.
4. Primary point of contact for delivery escalations from internal and external stakeholders.
5. Lead daily Production and Inventory Management (PIM) meetings with the team.
6. Attend relevant meetings and contribute to monthly and quarterly billing outlooks, proactively raising constraints and supply issues.
7. Track daily and weekly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure performance aligns with goals.
8. Attend business audits as required by the quality team.
9. Take ownership of inventory management, monitoring and reducing value and Days on Hand (DOH).
10. Oversee master data management and conduct daily performance reviews to ensure improvement in Short-Term Schedule (STS) targets, on track for FY24 goals.
11. Conduct daily and weekly reviews on Master Production Schedules (MPS).
12. Assess forecast accuracy levels and collaborate with demand management to enhance accuracy.
What Your Background Should Look Like:
13. Hold a degree-level education.
14. Possess excellent written, verbal, and communication skills.
15. Demonstrate experience in production and material planning within a manufacturing industry.
16. 2-3 years of experience in team leader management.
17. Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and effectively solve problems.
18. Prior experience with SAP is a must.
19. Showcase proficiency in data analysis and Excel.
