In this role, you’ll not only manage a team but also enjoy exceptional internal and external training opportunities, all while being backed by a supportive management team. Please note, prior experience in leading a team is essential for this position.
Role Responsibilities
As a Team Manager, you will:
* Oversee the delivery of high-quality, person-centered support, ensuring all support plans are tailored to individual needs.
* Monitor compliance across staff files, training, and competency requirements.
* Manage rota adherence through spot checks and out-of-hours visits.
* Proactively handle safeguarding management in line with established procedures.
* Lead audits covering finance, medication, and quality standards.
* Supervise and mentor Support Workers, ensuring effective performance management through 1:1s and probation processes.
* Attend care reviews, multidisciplinary team meetings, and maintain strong communication with families and external agencies.
* Manage budgets and ensure financial accountability across services.
Flexibility is key, as this role will involve out-of-hours checks and the possibility of backfilling when short-staffed.
The Ideal Candidate
What skills and qualities do you need?
* A strong understanding of the health and social care sector, with the ability to meet financial and business targets.
* Passion, energy, and enthusiasm for delivering high-quality care.
* Flexibility is essential; a full driving license and access to a car is preferred.
* Experience working with individuals with autism, learning disabilities, and communication difficulties.
* Experience with complex physical and health needs.
* Effective communication skills for a range of audiences.
* A willingness to work towards NVQ level 4/5 qualification.
