Job Title: Head of Operations Location: National Salary: £80,000 per annum DOE Role Overview: Multitask Personnel are working alongside our award-winning energy provider who are looking to expand their team An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Operations to lead their domestic solar PV division. The ideal candidate will have an electrical background, extensive experience in domestic solar installations, and a proven track record of managing large field teams. As the Head of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, ensuring efficient project execution, and fostering a culture of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Provide strong leadership to a growing team of solar installation professionals, currently comprising 300 employees and expanding rapidly towards a target of over 2000 employees. Foster a positive and collaborative team culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Recruit, train, and develop field staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional results. Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and implement strategies to drive employee engagement and retention. Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company objectives and support rapid growth in the domestic solar PV installations division. Collaborate with senior management to establish operational goals, budgets, and performance metrics. Oversee the end-to-end execution of domestic solar PV installation projects, ensuring timely completion, adherence to quality standards, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Champion a customer-centric approach to solar PV installations, focusing on delivering exceptional service, exceeding customer expectations, and building long-term relationships. Establish and maintain rigorous quality assurance protocols to ensure that all installations meet or exceed industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements. Proactively address any customer concerns or complaints, taking prompt and effective action to resolve issues and ensure complete satisfaction. Requirements: Minimum of 3 years of experience in domestic solar PV installations, with a strong focus on residential projects. Proven leadership and team management track record, including experience overseeing large field teams. In-depth knowledge of solar PV technology, electrical systems, and installation best practices. Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, organise, and execute multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Relevant certifications and qualifications in an electrical background are a MUST.
