Overview
Educato are seeking staff with Team Teach qualification to work at an Alternative provision setting, supporting SEND children aged 11-16.
This role involves working with children aged 11-16 who present with challenging behaviour linked to additional needs such as Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties.
Responsibilities
* Work with pupils in small groups or 1:1 as needed, switching between support formats throughout the day depending on the children\'s needs.
* Collaborate with a SEND teacher and 3 SEND learning support staff as part of the support team.
Environment and Structure
* Location: Tameside, SEN school
* Age group: 11-16 years old
* Class size: 5 pupils per class
* Support team: 1 SEND teacher + 3 SEND support staff
* Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 16:00, term time only
* Additional training: Occasional twilight sessions
* Contract: Temporary long term supply post
Qualifications and Training
* Team Teach training or equivalent restraint training (must be evidenced)
* Experience with challenging behaviour - backgrounds considered include:
o Mainstream or specialist schools
o Prisons or youth justice
o Outreach or youth work programmes
Compliance and Screening
* Child and Adult DBS registered on the Update Service
* Overseas police check if you\'ve lived outside the UK for more than 6 months in the last 5 years
