Description
As the Group Transport Manager you will:
Oversee and manage daily transport operations to ensure service levels are maintained along side operational efficiencies
Ensure compliance with transport regulations and best in class
Monitor and manage fleet performance, maintenance, and scheduling.
Collaborate with other departments to streamline logistics processes.
Manage relationships with external transport providers and negotiate contracts where necessary.
Analyse transport data and produce reports to support decision-making.
Lead and develop the transport team to achieve operational goals.Profile
A successful Group Transport Manager should have:
Proven experience in transport management (CPC holder) in a busy operation ideally servicing national retailers
A strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
Knowledge of transport regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in using transport management systems and related software.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
