What do you need to succeed?
Our Hairdresser assists our care teams in providing exceptional service, supporting the Reception and Lifestyles Teams. This is a crucial position central to the lives of the people we support, so good people skills are essential alongside strong organisational skills. If you have previous experience working in the hair and beauty sector and have an affinity for care – this is the role for you.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting residents with hair and beauty within the home.
* Supporting the Hospitality Manager with lifestyle activities within the home.
* Undertaking tasks professionally, reflecting Oakland Care Group's values in a person-centred way.
To be successful, you need to have/be:
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
* Qualification in hairdressing and beauty.
* Hair and beauty certificate.
* Minimum one (1) year hair and beauty service experience preferred.
* Good knowledge of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).
* Previous experience in a customer service environment.
* Knowledge of challenging behaviour / dementia awareness.
Skills and Competencies
* Effective verbal and written communication skills with staff, residents, family, and agencies.
* Ability to read, understand, and follow work schedules.
