The Workshop Supervisor role:
Oversee the daily work of the Workshop Technician Teams, ensuring all relevant resources are deployed where required and a consistently high quality service is delivered.

What you'll be doing as our Workshop Supervisor:
* Ensure suitable and legally compliant vehicles are available for Transport Teams to meet their daily resource requirements
* Assist Workshop teams to plan and complete their daily work efficiently and effectively, ensuring relevant colleagues are continually updated of progress and in good time when any circumstances change
* Conduct regular health and safety checks of premises and maintenance of vehicles, escalating any identified concerns to management colleagues for further review and follow-up action where concerns are identified
* Coach and support others to work in line with company procedures and identify where further development needs arise, taking appropriate action in consultation with management where necessary to ensure required standards are consistently met
* Communicate with relevant colleagues and customers where necessary to resolve unforeseen difficulties that may arise
* Deputise where required and in partnership with management ensures appropriate cover for all teams is available and any issues are resolved on a timely basis and in accordance with company procedures
What qualifications and experience are we looking for in our Workshop Supervisor?
* Qualified to Level 3 or equivalent in HGV/LGV maintenance and repair
* Extensive knowledge and application of HGV/LGV fleet service and maintenance requirements
* Experience of leading a team &/or be working towards a Level 3 Management or equivalent qualification
* Proven experience in a customer-facing facing role
* IT literate in Microsoft Office packages and have the ability to compile, analyse and interpret relevant data
What skills are we looking for in our Workshop Supervisor?
* Ability to diagnose and repair vehicle faults and ensure readiness for MOT and service.
* Ability to support, motivate and coach staff to maximise individual and team performance
* Ability to use initiative and maximise resources to source effective solutions
* Ability to work to fluid targets and deadlines
* Proven verbal and written communication & arithmetic skills
