The Opportunity
An established business operating within the electrical wholesale and lighting sector is seeking a Business Development Manager to support continued growth across the UK market. This role will focus on winning new business and developing existing customer relationships across electrical wholesalers, contractors, andmercial end-users. It suits amercially driven sales professional with experience in LED or electrical products and enjoys operating autonomously within a defined territory. Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Sales Growth
1. Identify and secure new business opportunities within the LED and electrical wholesale sector
2. Develop and execute a regional business development plan aligned to sales targets
3. Build and manage a robust sales pipeline from initial engagement through to close
4. Increase revenue and product penetration within existing customer accounts
Account Management & Relationship Building
5. Build strong, long‑term relationships with wholesalers, contractors, andmercial customers
6. Grow existing accounts through regular engagement, reviews, and product introductions
7. Attend customer meetings, site visits, and industry events as required
Market & Product Knowledge
8. Develop a strong understanding of LED lighting products and applications
9. Monitorpetitor activity and market trends to identify opportunities
10. Provide structured customer and market feedback to internal stakeholders
Sales Reporting & Forecasting
11. Maintain accurate CRM records for activity, pipeline, and forecasting
12. Report against monthly and quarterly performance targets
13. Provide clear updates on progress and opportunity conversion
Candidate ProfileEssential
14. Proven experience in a Business Development, Sales, or Account Management role
15. Background in LED lighting, electrical products, or the electrical wholesale sector
16. Consistent record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
17. Strongmercial awareness and negotiation skills
18. Confident, professionalmunicator with strong distinguishable ability
19. Full UK driving licence

20. Experience selling through wholesalers, contractors, or project environments
21. Knowledge of energy‑efficient or sustainable solutions
22. Experience using a CRM system
