Salary: £40.00 hour PAYE/£50.34 Umbrella
Term: Temporary until 31/01/ with the possibility of extension
Exciting Opportunity for a Public Protection Officer - Environmental Protection!
Are you passionate about safeguarding the environment and ensuring public safety? Our client, a renowned London Borough, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Public Protection Officer to join their team. What will you be doing?
1. Investigating complaints related to environmental protection and statutory nuisance.
2. Taking charge of areas such as noise/acoustics, statutory nuisance, air quality, and contaminated land.
3. Providing valuable input on licensing and planning applications.
4. Carrying out appropriate enforcement actions and responding to nuisance complaints.
5. Serving notices as necessary and supporting court proceedings.
6. Managing a diverse enforcement caseload effectively.
7. Conducting monitoring visits, with occasional unsociable hours (subject to manger approval).
8. Balancing in-office and remote work, with site visits as required.
What do you need?
9. Full driver's licence, own vehicle, and business insurance (mandatory).
10. Registered Environmental Health Practitioner or relevant professional qualification (desirable).
