The role:
As a Process Safety Engineer, you will help drive our goals by:
1. Lead and quality-check process hazard and technical risk assessments (e.g. HAZOP, LoPA, Bowties, Safety Critical Task Analysis, Area Classification), and support design reviews and capital projects with engineering input.
2. Specify safety critical equipment, conduct root cause analysis for process safety events, and monitor/report process safety KPIs to drive improvement initiatives.
3. Conduct Process Risk Management Audits of rig operators and technical staff to ensure asset safety and compliance.
4. Coach, train, and mentor others in process safety, promoting a strong process safety culture across the site.
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:
5. Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience, with Chartered Engineer status.
6. Proven experience in Process Safety, including leading HAZOP, LoPA, Bowties, Safety Critical Task Analysis, and Area Classification.
7. Hands-on experience with Process Safety at the pilot scale, and a strong focus on customer needs while meeting project and corporate goals.
8. Effective team player with a track record of working within multi-disciplinary teams.
