To succeed as a Purple Team Consultant, you should have experience with:
1. Working in a SOC with knowledge of enterprise-grade security tools such as Splunk, MDE, and Sentinel.
2. The triage and investigation of security incidents.
3. Large data analysis, data manipulation, and providing insights into disparate data sets.
Additional valued skills include:
1. Knowledge of current security trends and risk areas like cybercrime, fraud, and financial crime.
2. Experience with data analysis using ELK stack.
3. Experience with Cloud technologies.

This role is based in either our Knutsford or Glasgow office.
Purpose of the role
To monitor operational controls, implement and manage security controls, and learn from lessons to protect the bank from cyber-attacks and respond to threats.
Accountabilities
1. Manage security monitoring systems, including prevention and detection tools, to alert, detect, and block potential cyber incidents, and respond promptly to restore operations.
2. Identify emerging threats, attack techniques, and technologies; collaborate with industry networks to enhance knowledge.
3. Manage and analyze security logs, events, and alerts to identify threats.
4. Triage data loss prevention alerts to prevent sensitive data exfiltration.
5. Manage cybersecurity incidents, including remediation and closure.
