About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Automation Maintenance Engineer to ensure the reliability and performance of our automated equipment and control systems. This hands‑on role is perfect for engineers with a strong automation or electrical background who enjoy diagnosing faults, improving system performance, and working with PLC controlled machinery. Key Responsibilities of Automation Maintenance Engineer
* Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated production and control systems
* Diagnose and resolve issues with PLC controlled equipment, sensors, drives, and control panels
* Support planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns
* Make PLC, HMI, and parameter adjustments as required
* Identify and implement improvements to system reliability and performance
* Collaborate with operations, engineering teams, and external contractors
* Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with site procedures
* Complete maintenance records and technical reports
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in maintenance, automation, or electrical engineering roles
* Strong fault‑finding skills on automated machinery and control systems
* Knowledge of PLC based systems, including fault diagnosis and basic modifications
* Relevant electrical or automation qualification (apprenticeship, HNC/HND, or equivalent experience)
* Willingness to work shifts and respond to call‑outs if required
* Experience with PLC/SCADA/HMI platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider, or similar
* Understanding of industrial networks, drives, servos, or instrumentation
