Interim Service Delivery Manager
Role until January 2026
Up to £45,000 per annum (pro-rata)
Locations: Alnwick, Newcastle, Amble, Whitley Bay
A Northeast-based global leader in environmental and engineering solutions, committed to delivering innovative, sustainable energy technology while providing exceptional service and long-term value to clients. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a proactive and organized Service Delivery Manager on an interim basis. This role will run until January 2026, supporting field engineers with maintenance and project operations. If this sounds like you, please read on.

The Role of Service Delivery Manager
* Field Engineer Support - Ensure engineers have the resources, tools, and information needed for maintenance and project work.
* Maintenance Coordination - Oversee scheduled maintenance for CHP units, ground source, and air source heat pumps, ensuring reliability.
* Breakdown Management - Act as the first contact for urgent repairs, coordinating rapid responses and customer service.
* Parts Procurement - Manage inventory and work with suppliers for timely delivery of components.
* Client Liaison - Communicate with clients regarding maintenance schedules and updates, maintaining strong relationships.
* Project Support - Assist in planning and executing low-carbon energy projects.
* Operational Efficiency - Implement process improvements to enhance service quality and reduce downtime.
The Right Service Delivery Manager
* Experience supporting operations, engineering coordination, or maintenance planning, preferably in energy or engineering sectors.
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
* Experience sourcing and procuring technical parts and equipment.
* Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
* Ability to work under pressure, especially during breakdowns.
* Knowledge of low-carbon energy systems, CHP, heat pumps, and maintenance systems is highly desirable. Proficiency in ERP systems is a plus.
