Chorlton High School is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to support pupils and ensure continuity of learning during teacher absences.
Responsibilities
- Supervising classes across 11‑16 year olds during teacher absences
- Delivering pre‑prepared lesson materials provided by teaching staff
- Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring pupils remain engaged with their learning
- Supporting pupils with their work and answering basic questions where appropriate
- Ensuring a positive, safe, and productive learning environment
- Reporting back to teaching staff on pupil engagement and progress
- Working collaboratively as part of a supportive school team
Qualifications
- Experience working with young people in a school or similar setting
- Confidence in managing a classroom and maintaining positive behaviour
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Adaptability, reliability, and ability to build positive relationships with pupils
- Enthusiasm and professionalism in work
