This is a key hire with a clear succession plan in place, offering the opportunity to step into a senior, hands-on position and play a pivotal role in delivering critical work across UK infrastructure projects.The Role
o Lead a 2-person field team as the senior engineer on-site
o Carry out installation, maintenance and repair work on wastewater treatment facilities
o Take ownership of jobs from start to completion, ensuring high standards and efficiency
o Work closely with an experienced engineer
o Operate across multiple sites, with a strong focus on the utilities / wastewater sector
o Occasional working away (typically 3–4 days per week at times, with some longer stints during peak periods
Requirements
o 10+ years’ experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar
o Strong mechanical “hands-on” background
o Confident fault-finding and problem-solving ability in the field
o Experience with:
# Lifting & cranage operations
# Working at height
# Confined spaces
o Comfortable working in wastewater / utilities environments (majority of work)
o Engineering qualification (apprenticeship / NVQ / equivalent) desirable
