Build the Future of Electrification with GE Power Conversion

GE Power Conversion in Rugby, England, invites applications for its Graduate Engineering Programme designed specifically for Electrical Engineers looking to launch their careers in a forward-thinking, innovative environment. As part of GE Vernova, GE Power Conversion works at the forefront of the electric transformation of global energy infrastructure, serving industries such as energy, marine, manufacturing, mining, hydro, and utilities with advanced motor, drive, and control technologies.

A Career-Shaping Programme in a Global Engineering Leader

The Graduate Engineering Training Programme (GETP) offers a structured yet dynamic pathway into GE Power Conversion’s core business operations. Over 18 months, selected graduates will be immersed in real-world engineering projects, playing an active role in operations and contributing to ongoing success. Participants will rotate across four key areas—Engineering, Field Services, and Project Management—gaining hands‑on experience and insight into the company’s multi-disciplinary approach.

GE Power Conversion is dedicated to fostering both technical and personal development. Throughout the programme, participants will receive continuous mentorship, access to e-learning modules, and opportunities to attend specialist training and virtual lectures. Support for professional accreditation and a paid IET membership are also provided. The programme includes a buddy system to help new graduates integrate smoothly into the GE team, alongside involvement in STEM ambassador initiatives and volunteering activities.

Who Should Apply

GE is looking for dedicated and innovative individuals who hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution. Candidates should demonstrate a strong passion for engineering, a keen interest in technology, and proven problem‑solving skills. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship, as visa support is not available for this role.

The next intake of the Graduate Engineering Programme will commence in September 2025. This is an opportunity to be part of a company that values diversity, promotes inclusion, and is committed to electrifying tomorrow’s energy. At GE, flexible working options can be discussed to support individual preferences around career and life balance.

GE Power Conversion is looking for individuals ready to create meaningful impact in a supportive, high‑performance engineering culture.
