This is an excellent opportunity for a senior Private Client Lawyer to take a key role within a highly regarded department, offering high-quality work, strong client relationships, and genuine progression to Partnership level.
The Role
* Managing a complex and high-value caseload of private client matters
* Advising clients on wills, trusts, estate planning, and probate matters
* Handling inheritance tax planning and wealth preservation strategies
* Managing the administration of estates, including taxable estates
* Providing advice on trusts and trust administration
* Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
* Playing a key role in the strategic growth and development of the department
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with high-net-worth individuals and families

Key Responsibilities
* Managing a diverse private client caseload independently
* Advising on complex estate planning and inheritance tax matters
* Drafting wills, trusts, and related legal documentation
* Overseeing estate administration matters
* Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and support staff
* Building and maintaining client relationships and referrer networks
* Contributing to business development and marketing initiatives
* Supporting the achievement of departmental and firm-wide objectives
About You
The ideal candidate will be experienced, commercially aware, and ready to take on a senior leadership role. You will have:
* Qualified Solicitor with significant experience in Private Client law
* Experience operating at Senior Associate or Partner level (or ready to step up)
* Strong technical expertise in wills, trusts, and estate planning
* Experience handling high-value and complex estates
* Proven ability to manage and develop client relationships
* Leadership experience or the desire to mentor and develop junior team members
* Strong commercial awareness and business development skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* A proactive and strategic mindset
* Commitment to delivering high standards of client care
