This is a fundamental aspect of the role Take an active interest in, and give commitment to the client Ensure that the environment and service is truly excellent and beyond expectation Promote the client positively to all you come in to contact with, throughout the customer journey Be flexible and adaptable to all tasks or challenges Be highly presentable, accountable; take responsibility and ownership for any tasks identified or allocated Ensure all contact, be it internal or external; by telephone, face to face or any other medium; is clear, courteous, polite, professional, and respectful Ensure complete client/tenant/other service provider confidentiality; protecting people and information is paramount Appropriate use of CCTV/access control and any other electronic management system, and completion of reports and documentation in a timely fashion Be familiar with all Security and Emergency procedures on site and assist in the facilitation of their safe execution and practice. There may also be a need to become a fire marshal and you will hold an EFAW (emergency First Aid at Work) qualification as a minimum. All site training will be provided All Assignment Instructions / Operations Manual or Standard Operating Procedures and Risk Assessments are to be reviewed, understood and followed Embrace and deliver the bespoke training requirements, specific to contractual obligation or regulation Completion of rostered duties and all associated tasks or responsibilities to the highest possible standard SECURITY SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Welcome and assist staff, clients, students and visitors to the premises in a warm and courteous fashion maintaining excellence as a standard throughout the customer journey Ensuring that no unauthorised persons are permitted in prohibited areas Check identity and credentials of staff, contractors and visitors where required Work with all colleagues to ensure the integrity of security on the site Early identification and mitigation of any threats to persons, premises or property, escalating where appropriate to do so Essential Skills: Excellent communication skills. Interpersonal skills and confidence is a must Exceptional customer service skills Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual Resilient and calm under pressure with the ability to multi-task and prioritise to help solve problems and overcome challenges Self-confidence and an interest in self-development. Physically able to conduct all responsibilities associated with the roles documented Ability to work to instruction and on your own initiative where required Computer literate and confident with the use of Microsoft Office programmes Demonstrate an awareness of security threats which remain relevant and up to date in the context of the current environment Flexibility regarding working practices, hours, and responsibilities. Valid SIA Enhanced communication, listening and customer service skills or the ability to train, obtain, retain, and develop further in this field.
