St Andrews Birminghamis a 125 bedded adult mental healthcare facility comprises of eight units that cover medium and low security for both Men and Women. Located in Stirchley, a vibrant area in South Birmingham, easily accessible by road networks and public transport.

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled self-employed barber to provide regular hairdressing and grooming services within a mental health hospital setting. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on patients wellbeing, confidence, and dignity through professional grooming services. xsngvjr
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide barbering services including haircuts, beard trims, and basic grooming
* Work sensitively with patients experiencing a range of mental health conditions
* Maintain a calm, respectful, and supportive approach at all times
* Ensure all tools and equipment are cleaned and maintained to high hygiene standards
* Manage your own appointments and schedule in coordination with ward staff
* Adhere to hospital policies, including infection control and safeguarding procedures
Requirements
* Fully qualified barber (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent preferred)
* Proven experience in barbering
* Public liability insurance (essential)
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Patience, empathy, and professionalism
